Basque Pelota
You won't find a single village in the Basque Country without its pelota games or local festivities. There are various forms of playing the game: bare-handed, with the pala or the chistera. There's the paleta goma made of rubber, the pala made of leather, the short paleta, the long paleta, and the zesta punta for playing jai alai. Of course, that's not all.
Come to Bidart and learn all about pelota, the grand fronton and the petit fronton, then return home as the town's leading expert of this world-famous Basque sport.
