Oyam is located on the Atlantic coastline, just south of world-famous Biarritz, in Bidart, a quaint Basque Country village. Other famous nearby communities include Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Guéthary.

Oyam offers family-holiday value and family-holiday fun! With the added plus of being a short 15-minute walk from the beaches, you’ll be enjoying the ocean breeze and the privacy and calm at Oyam, your home-away-from-home.

Sports? Are you keen on sports? The campsite proudly boasts a swimming pool with separate deep and shallow areas. Other onsite sports include beach volleyball, a special spray-n-spurt water-fun area for the kids, Ping-Pong, pétanque (bowls), a mountain bike path, a multi-sports playing field, and four mini tennis courts.

Our Atlantic Coast Location

Southwestern France's curving Atlantic shoreline is a delightful, verdant region called the Basque Country which extends far over the nearby border with Spain. The Oyam Campsite is located roughly half-way between Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz. As it is a mere 1200 meters from the shoreline, you can walk to the beach in about ten to fifteen minutes. Later, you'll saunter back to the camp and enjoy the peaceful, quiet, refreshing shade in your holiday home away from home or an entertaining evening with your friends.

A close second to the Oyam Snack Bar, the most popular onsite attractions are the swimming pool with its kiddies’ section and our wild-and-wet aqualudique area where jets of water spurt randomly from the ground, much to the delight of children. The list of onsite sports facilities continues: pétanque (bowls), a mountain bike trail (not for the faint-of-heart), table tennis, a multi-sports playing field, beach volleyball, and no less than 4 mini-tennis courts.

With so many sports activities conducted by monitors and so many fun evening activities (disco, karaoke), you can be sure you'll enjoy a convivial holiday propitious for making new friends and taking home good memories.

The Main Office

This is the reception desk. It’s where we welcome incoming guests and bid departing guests a warm “au-revoir”. Open 7 days a week throughout July and August, it is your year-round holiday booking and reference centre. The main office manages the entire site: the entertainment, the sports monitors, the game room’s pinball machines and billiards table. The office is the place to come for tokens for the laundry room, post cards, tourist information, brochures, tips and pointers. We’ll gladly handle any question. Have a look at our services page!

The New Aquatic Area

The heated Aquatic Area is where most of the action and the camp’s entertainment happen. It is monitored by lifeguards in July and August. Open only to Oyam residents, it is the place for family relaxation and fun with Waterfall, slides and paddling for the children . The snappy morning programme of activities gives way to lazy afternoons of sunning and splashing in the irresistible water.

The Oyam Snack Bar

The ambiance here is so warm, it’s a haven for socializing. A friendly, smiling team of servers welcome you throughout the season, from morning to evening. You can pick up breakfast essentials like fresh baguettes and pastries to take back to your lodgings. The snack bar boasts a varied menu of food and drinks. All the food can be packed up for take-out or consumed right there at the snack bar. As you like!
