Welcome to Bidart, a seaside village, on the cusp of the Bay of Biscay home to some of the planet’s finest surfing. Great surf destinations like Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Hossegor are mere minutes away by car.

Oyam and Quiksilver Surfing School of Biarritz set up one-week training sessions with onsite accommodations to make for a “100% surf” stay for surfing enthusiasts like you. Your menu of options is as follows:

1. The Canvas Surf Camp (from early June to late September)

Frugal surfers will find the tent camp fits the bill, especially our double-occupancy sleeper tents which include an air mattress, however sheets and other bedding are not provided.
The larger-living-space tents include a fridge and camping equipment.
Restaurant, bar, food and laundry services available on the campsite.

2. The Mobile Home Surf Camp (from early April to late September)

Surfers can set up camp in our mobile-home park. It provides comfortable two-bedroom accommodations for a minimum 2-person occupancy. Shared living space includes the fully-equipped kitchen, living room and outdoors deck.

3. The Furnished Flats Surf Camp (from April to September)

Surfers staying in the Résidence apartment complex get all the comforts of home, an inviting patio, plus the appreciable peace and quiet after a long hard day riding the waves. These sunny furnished flats give you great views of the mountains and the village of Bidart.

Whether you’re a beginner or a skilled surfer, you’ll find a rental offer geared to your needs and desires. Our surf team will be happy to introduce you to the treasures of the local surfing paradise.

•Impeccable safety conditions and solid teaching methods from state-licensed and state-certified monitors.
•The right equipment. Our suppliers’ surfboards and wetsuits are suited to your level, your skills and your size. The surf camp is only for adults and minors accompanied by adults.
While Oyam provides no supervision of minors, the campsite does provide everyone great amenities like its snack bar, swimming pool, mini tennis courts, beach volleyball, pétanque (bowls), Ping-Pong, and more!

ACTIVITIES: introductory and intermediate surfing lesson with experienced coaches from the Biarritz school of surfing.

This Monday-to-Friday training programme provides you 5 exhilarating half-days of surfing!
