Campsite rules

Opening dates :
Traditional camping (tents,caravans) : June 1st to September 30th Rented accommodations : April 1st to September 30th

1°) Admission Terms :
To be allowed to set up, to stay in the campsite you must have been authorised by the manager or his representative. Any person wanting to stay on the campsite must, prior to setting up show the appropriate identification papers and fill in the forms required by the police (available from the campsite reception).
Unaccompanied minors will not be allowed in.
Staying in Camping Oyam implies acceptance of the campsite rules and a committment to conform to them. Any infringement could lead to eviction. In the case of a legal offence, the manager may request police intervention.

2°) Setting Up :

The tent or caravan, and any equipment have to be set up on the indicated site following the instructions given by the management.

3°) Reception :
Opening hours vary depending on the time of year and are posted on the reception front door. You will find at the reception all information pertaining to the campsite services, shopping opportunities, sporting facilities, tourist attractions and various addresses that may be useful, in particular emergency services (doctors, hospitals, fire brigade, police …)

4°) Camping Fees :
Camping fees are payable at reception, according to the listed rates. They are proportional to the number of nights spent on the premises.
The customer is invited to pay the fees the day prior to departure.
The local tax is payable by every person aged ten or over staying on the campsite, regardless of type of accommodation. The rate is listed on the price sign at the entrance of the campsite and applies year round.

5°) Noise :
Customers are expressly informed that all precautions must be taken in order not to disturb their neighbours peace.
It is especially important to avoid any noise that could be disturbing to others. Radios and similar appliances must be set accordingly. The closing of car doors and boots to be done as discretely as possible.
All pets must remain on a leash at all times. They must never stay in the campsite , even locked up, whilst their owners are away. The owner remains financially and legally responsible for them at all times. The vaccination of all pets must be kept upto date. Animals are prohibited in the public facilities’swimming pool, toilets, restaurant-bar, reception etc. Nor are they permitted in the rental accommodations between June 15th - September 15th.
Between 10pm and 7am any infraction to these rules will be considered a breach of the peace.

6°) Visitors :
Visitors are allowed in the campsite and are the responsibility of their hosts. The manager or one of their representatives can request payment of the visitors fee.
Visitors are not allowed to enter the campsite with their vehicle. They must leave it at the exterior parking place and must make themselves known at the reception prior to entering. They have to comply with the campsite rules and are not allowed to use the swimming pool.

7°) Parking and Movement of Vehicles :
Only vehicles belonging to customers staying on the campsite are allowed in.
Except otherwise required by a campground representative, vehicles must be parked on the indicated site (or on the outside parking) and must in no way impede vehicle movement.
One magnetic pass per vehicle is necessary to operate the barrier opening between 7am and 11pm. A 20 Euro deposit will be requested for each pass lent, and will be reimbursed on return of the pass.
Inside the campsite, vehicles are strictly limited to a maximum speed of 10 kmh
Driving is forbidden between 11pm and 7am
After 11 PM, vehicles will have to be parked outside on the overnight parking lot.

8°) Campsite Maintenance :

it is strictly forbidden to :

a) Build fences or mark the site limits with any personal means, or dig in the ground ;

b) To store anything (used object, tools etc) on the site or under caravans ;

c) To deprive caravans, static or touring, whatever the size, of their means of mobility (towbar, wheels etc) ;

e) To plant any form of vegetation (flowers, plants, bushes etc) in the ground ;

f) It is forbidden to build garden sheds ;

To build awnings, porches, terraces without written agreement of the campsite manager, and any structure that would require a building permit.

9°) Appearance and Respect of Amenities :
Everyone is expected to refrain from behaving in such a way that it would affect cleanliness, hygiene or the appearance of the campsite.
Waste water may not be disposed of on the ground or in gutters
Household rubbish, greasy papers are to be brought to rubbish bins
Public facilities have to be kept clean at all times by users
Washing of dishes or laundry is strictly forbidden outside designated arteas.
Plants and flowers must be respected. It is forbidden to place nails in trees, to cut branches and plant any vegetation.Any damage caused to plants, fences, the campsite grounds or any campsite amenity will be charged to the offender. At the end of their stay, campers should leave the site in the same condition they found it.
 

10°) Safety :
A first aid kit is available at reception

Open fires are strictly forbidden. Gas appliances must be maintained in perfect working order and must not be used in a tent or in the vicinty of a vehicle.

a) Fire :
Fire extinguishers are available to all. They can be found in every building.
Campsite management should be informed immediately of a fire
Campsite users are requested to take precautionary measures for the safguarding of their equipment.
Theft : The management cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen objects on the site. Campers are responsible for their own belongings.

11°) Games:
While all reasonable steps are taken by management to ensure the safety of campsite facilities, campers must realise that the use of such facilities is undertaken at their own risk. Management will accept no responsibility for accidents occuring on the site.
The swimming pool is open from May 15th to September 30th. There are lifeguards on duty from July 3rd to August 30th. Outside of those dates the swimming pool may still be used, but their is no surveillance provided by the campsite. The campsite cannot be held responsible for any accident occuring at the swimming pool during the open period if users are not following the posted rules. The campsite management expressly demands that parents look after their children whilst they are using the pool, whatever the time of year, regardless of whether their is a lifeguard on duty.
The management declines all responsibility in case of an accident. Children are at all times the responsibilty of their parents at the swimming pool, at other leisure facilities and on the campsite grounds.
Dangerous and violent games are not allowed.
 

12°) Storing of Caravans :
A customer is allowed to leave a caravan unoccupied on the campsite only after the agreement of the management and only where indicated. The manager reserves the right to move to another location the caravan if he needs to.
A parking fee will be charged. (rates posted at reception). The fees due are for storage and not for surveillance. The campsite management is not responsible for any theft or damage to or from the caravan.
 

13°) Mail, Messages :
A mailbox is located at the reception for outgoing mail during July and August. Incoming mail is available at reception. Private phonecalls cannot be passed on to campers. Phone messages can be displayed at reception.


14°) Public Phones :
A card operated public phone is at your disposal on the terrace of the Snack Bar.
 

15°) The Manager :
He is responsible for keeping the campsite in good working order. His duty is, if necessary to punish serious infringements to the rules and request intervention of the police for eviction of trouble makers in the case of penal offences.
A complaints register is at the campers disposal. Complaints will be considered only if they are signed, dated, as accurate as possible and pertain to recent events.

We feel it is in everyones interest for these rules to be adhered to, thus making everyones stay at Camping Oyam a pleasant one.
