Local Basque gastronomy is in the spotlight at the Oyam café. The chef will offer you hake, axoa, xipirons which are all specialties of the southwest. The marine wealth offers Basque fishermen great resources and the local markets are overflowing with fish stalls for gourmets. Lamb meat is renowned for its finesse and sheep's milk is available in the form of many cheeses (ardi gasna in Basque). Sheep's curd is another specialty to discover with a nice spoonful of Itsassou honey, for example.
