Erretegia beach is 1200 meters from Camping Oyam. With its fine sand at the foot of cliffs, your children can swim from morning till night. The scenery is magnificent, and the sunsets offer pastel colors perfect for romance.

Over 5 km, you will discover the 6 beaches in Bidart (Ilbarritz, Pavillon Royal, Erretegia, Plage du Centre, Uhabia, Parlementia). All supervised until 7 p.m. in summer, you can indulge in all kinds of water activities: swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, swimming.

OYAM campsite is located 5 km from the beaches of Biarritz which are considered one of the most prestigious seaside resorts on the Atlantic coast, this surfing capital is located at the gates of the Oyam campsite.

What type of beaches are there around Oyam campsite?
The Oyam campsite is located 1200 meters from the fine sandy beaches of Bidart.
You will spend a seaside holiday from your campsite in less than 20 minutes' walk. The beaches of Bidart are ideal for families and children can make sandcastles, splash around, body board or surf.

And how do you get to the beaches of Bidart?
From the campsite, there is a footpath that allows you to reach the beaches in 15 to 20 minutes. A municipal beach shuttle can take you to the beaches of Bidart, Biarritz and Anglet. The shuttle is free in July and August. A fee will be requested in low season.

And are there any beaches with waves for surfing?
All the beaches on the Basque coast allow you to surf all year round. Don't forget your boards and wetsuits. Our partner at the French surf school offers surf courses with preferential rates for our customers, the opportunity to feel like Kelly Slater.

What if I want to discover other nice beaches?
The bay of Saint Jean de Luz offers many water activities during the day: windsurfing, boating, optimist, surfing, Stand Up Paddle.
